In the wonderful website world of Inphinet in Bradford, we’re always aware that when a client wants a new website, there are loads of processes to go through.
This is usually how we do it.
The specification - what does the client want, what is the structure of the website, what is the budget, what is the timescale to achieve the brief
The design phase – where we turn their brief into reality, giving multiple bespoke designs.
The amendment phase - client gives feedback on design, we make the required amends, the client then signs it off.
The build phase – we then build the site to the agreed specification, fully test it, then send the client a secure link to view the site
The testing and training phase – the client views the site, then we train them on how to use the content management system
Go live – the site is launched and replaces the old solution
Usually, from experience, this process can take over 6 weeks, as there are lots of factors impacting on the approval and sign off process;
Has the client got more than one line of approval to go through ?
Do they have the content written for the new website
Are they timely with their feedback on design ?
Are they confident and capable with the CMS element of the website ?
On a recent project, we’ve managed to go from being commissioned by a client on a Friday, getting the design produced, approved and ready for build in under 4 days. The site was then built by the development team in 3 days, content added, client trained and site launched in under 10 working days from the date we got the order. This was no fluke, we wrote a tight specification so the client knew what they were getting, we chased for quick feedback from the client, got their content sent across to us, built the site, tested it and trained them. The best thing for them was the fact that they were taken on a really positive journey, after having real concerns about how lengthy the project may be.
The same can happen for your own business too. Don’t put up with your provider delaying things because they’re not up to the standards of Inphinet. Let us take a look at your brief and you too may be amazed by the exceptional service that we can offer to companies of all sizes.
Remember - for professional website design and development in Bradford, Yorkshire, Lancashire and the rest of the UK – think Internet, think Inphinet !
